Leisure 17 for sale with all the trimmings £1995 or VNO.

Reluctant sail due to advancing years and ill health. I think the Boat number is 1048 and the sail number 1043. Lula. On the little ship's register. I bought this boat 5 years ago from this site. Since then I have rewired it and replaced the lights inside and out with LEDs. New lightweight Lithium battery with charger. New outboard bracket and I bought a new Tohatsu 6 hp long shaft 4-stroke sail-drive 4 years ago which has been serviced every year but this as it hasn't hit the water this year. (Tohatsu is the only outboard with the controls at the front of the engine which makes access very easy and 6 hp strong enough to punch through the solent tides and currents). Very few hours since then and has never missed a single beat - just run in and I happy to get it serviced before parting with Lula if the full price is paid. The outboard charges the battery. The trailer was serviced when I bought it (Leisure 17s are always towed backwards) 4 years ago and there has been no obvious deterioration since then. The trailer has never been submerged under my care as the boat was always craned off for launch. Easy tow with my Suzuki s-cross. New hand rails and rubbing strakes. Anchor with chain and rope, cushions over-covered. New unused porta-potti. Not a drop in the bilge. New depth gauge. Hand-held VHS and plb which are registered to the boat. Compass which also acts as a bearing taker. Scanstrut ROKK iPad holders. Small patched tender with oars but holds air and is light enough to launch single-handed with Heath Robinson wheels on the outboard bracket. Assortment of sails which work but are old. New tiller. New sheets. Various odds and sods. The boat is 50 years old +/- with the original gelcoat so is not perfect, but was built to last and will still outlive many a modern boat. I moored it on the Beaulieu river and sailed it in the Solent but it is currently in my garden at RG20 as it didn't make it into the water this year, hence the sale. Viewings welcome. Anti-fouled and ready to tow away and sail. £1995 or VNO.
